MOBILE HYDRAULICS
It is essential to monitor and control the transfer medium pressure and level in hydraulic systems, which may be mineral, synthetic, or semi-synthetic oils, water-oil emulsions, silicone-based fluids, and other liquids. Pressure transmitters and pressure switches are commonly used to provide continuous information about pressure in hydraulic equipment such as pumps, control valves, and other components within automation systems.
These compact devices must withstand sudden hydraulic shocks and feature small pressure ports of special design. In response to customer requirements, PIEZUS manufactures a range of pressure transmitters with the range up to 1000 bar. These transmitters provide a reliable solution for applications with high vibration and overpressure.
ONBOARD WEIGHING SYSTEMS
Onboard weighing systems typically use two pressure transmitters integrated into a vehicle’s hydraulic system, such as those found in trucks, front loaders, and tractors. The first transmitter measures hydraulic pressure in the boom lift cylinder, while the second measures pressure in the return (drain) line. As the load increases, hydraulic pressure rises accordingly.
By converting pressure readings into weight units within the transmitter scale, a load weight can be monitored in real time during loading. This enables more efficient vehicle use while ensuring compliance with safe operating limits. Below is a list of recommended pressure transmitters for these applications.
